We're Phoebe and Leah. We built Caribé because we were tired of being an afterthought in an industry that decides what beauty looks like without us in the room.
Growing up with a Caribbean background, we were surrounded by colour, culture and confidence. When we looked at the beauty industry, we saw brands that talked about diversity but rarely delivered it, especially in tanning, where formulas for deep skin tones were an afterthought at best. Grey casts. Patchy finishes. Shade ranges that stopped at medium.
So we built what was missing ourselves.

Why Caribé Exists: The Gap Nobody Was Filling
Caribé started with a feeling - exclusion.
Phoebe and Leah grew up loving the sun kissed glow of their Caribbean heritage. But when they went looking for a self tan that actually worked on dark skin, they came up empty.
The industry had built beauty without them in mind.
So they built it themselves. What started as a search for one product became something bigger. Caribé exists to build a world where every skin tone is the standard, not the exception.
